Durga Devi Forest Zone
Durga Devi is an attractive and verdant tourism zone falling within Corbett National Park range. It is wildlife area, exceptionally used for long elephant safaris and makes direct access to the Ramganga River, where tourists can enjoy fishing and angling. While making your staycool and comfortable at the Durgadevi, the tourists will get the opportunity to go to Ramganga River to enjoy angling facilities at the Ramganga camp at Bhikiasen crossing the gate further 30 KMs in the pristine pool in the Ramganga River. The Durgadevi tourism zone is closed during monsoon due to poor roads in the forest.
Flora & Fauna
The park is blessed with the variety of flora’s, which provide an awesome feeling of nature, where tourist can enjoy wildest stay in the lap of Mother Nature. The most visible trees found in Corbett Sheesam, Dhak, Khair and Sisoo. Besides these you will also found here Chir Pine, Chir Choti, Kanju , Jamun, Aamla, Bel, Kusum, Mahua and Bakli.
The Mandalrange of Corbett Tiger Reserve through Durgadevi entrance gives the tourists challenging birding species to belvedere. It is quite common sightong to come across the grey headed fishing eagle, crested laughing thrush, black chinned Yuhina, maroon orile, slaty blue flycatcher, long tailed broadbill, little forktail, and bar tailed tree creeper. Lohachaur forest area is quite popular among the tourists for sighting wild elephants and the heaving terrain that offer an excellent occasion to see the leopards.
Accommodation in Durgadevi Forest Zone
Accommodation not allowed in Durgadeve Forest Zone. Alcohol and non-vegetarian food not allowed. All your personal and non-biodegradable remains like tin cans, plastic, glass bottles, metal foils etc. should be put into a carry bag and you should dispose it off after you finish the tour. This is to keep the National Park climes and animals’ safe.
How to Reach Durgadevi Forest Zone
Durga Devi Safari zone is around 28 Km from Ramnagar. It is well connected by road tourist can book safari to visit this zone.

Best time to visit Durga Devi zone from 15 October to 30 June.
How to Book
Dhikala forest lodge booking for Corbett Park can be booked before 45 days earlier of your boarding date. Foreigner travellers booking date opens before 90 days in advance. Passport Id is mandatory for foreign nation travellers.

Jim Corbett Safari Important information
- Visitors must be carry entry permits with ID document, which mentioned in permit.
- Day visit Entry permit for Dhikala Zone is only permitted for the tourists staying inside the forest rest house
- Entry permit to the Corbett National Park is provisional and it can be cancelled or changed without any prior announcement.
- Entry permits belongs to you not transferrable for others.
- Entry to the forest area strictly prohibited after sunset
