Destination Cover: Jim Corbett National Park – Pangot
Time Duration: 4 Nights / 5 Days
Arrival at Corbett Resort. Check in time: 12:00 noon. Welcome drinks (Hot/Cold), lunch at the resort, free time for leisure at the resort or to take some rest.
Evening at 02:30 pm, we will take you for a jeep safari in Bijrani.
Bijrani is a beautiful spot & is known for its deep forest, storm drains and wildlife. Except for bird watching, It is a great place to encounter tigers & wild elephants. And there is a huge count of bird species like- Spur-winged Lapwing, Pin-tailed Green Pigeon, Blue Rock Pigeon, Indian Ring Dove, Spotted Dove, Great Hornbill, Long-tailed Broad Bill and many others.
Back to resort, dinner and overnight stay at the resort.
Early morning, check out from the resort. Drive to Dhikala forest lodge and it will take around 1 hr to cover this distance. In the route, you will get the opportunity to see various water birds such as – river lapwings, waders, mergansers and waterfowls. You will also get an opportunity to see wood owl, tawny fish owl, long tailed broad bill, great hornbill and much more.
Check in at the pre-booked lodge in Dhikala at 12:00 noon. Have lunch and take rest at Dhikala. After lunch, you will go on another jeep safari. Here, you can find various types of water birds like Lammergeier, Blue Winged Minla, Puff-throat Babbler, and White Rumped Shama, etc. At evening, return back to Dhikala forest lodge and have tea/coffee. Dinner & overnight stay at Dhikala forest lodge.
Early morning, after tea/coffee, we will take you for another jeep safari for 3 hours. Return back to the forest lodge. Take breakfast and check out from Forest lodge. Drive to Pangot. On the way, you will visit Corbett Falls, Khurpatal and Sariyatal lakes.
In the evening, arrive at the pre-booked hotel/camp in Pangot. Pangot is situated 12 kms away from Nainital; it is a small village area. It is an excellent place for Himalayan bird-watching. Here, you can find more than 100 species of birds. Dinner and overnight stay at Pangot.
Early morning wake up call. After having tea, start bird-watching around the area.
Here, you can find a range of Himalayan birds species such as Blue-winged Minla, Khalij Pheasant, Woodpecker, Lammergeyer, etc. One can see salty-headed, grey bushchat, Basra, red-breasted parakeet, long-tailed, grey-backed shrike, common kestrel, chestnut-bellied rock thrush, streaked laughing thrush, yellow-bellied, cheer pheasant, koklass pheasant, etc.
In the evening, return back. Dinner and overnight stay at Pangot.
Morning, post breakfast, checkout from the resort and drive back to your destination.
